We can help take the stress out of moving. We provide moving services and, just as important, we provide you with peace-of-mind that your move will be safe, smooth, and enjoyable. We have the experience and the equipment to take the hassles out of moving. We want our customers to know that our level of service, efficiency, and costs are what we are most proud of here. Services
In addition to the local and long distance relocation, we also provide a variety of services that can be very helpful to you, your friends, or family in the future. We specialize in: professional packing, furniture disposal, single deliveries, and moving furniture within a home. Specifically, Affordable Moving provides the following commercial and residential services:
- Local and Long Distance moving and relocation
- Residential and commercial service
- Loading or unloading of Uhaul, Penske, GoMinis, Pods, etc.
- Moving furniture within a home or apartment
- Packing Services
- Office moves
- Furniture deliveries
- Antique moves
Rates
I. Fuel/Service Charge: Our fuel/service charge of $50 for local moves, applies to moves that begin and end at each location within the Shelby County limits. *Exceptions are applied for long distance moves outside of this boundary.
II. Hourly Rate: Each hour our moving specialists are at the customer's residence or place of business shall have an hourly rate charged to the shipper. We only have a one hour minimum so every hour will be prorated beyond the first hour in 15-minute increments. Our time does not start for local moves in Shelby County until arrival at the customer's first address.
*Exceptions are applied for long distance moves.
- 2 Men, 1 Truck and required equipment = $ 80 per hour.
- 3 Men, 1 Truck and required equipment = $ 120 per hour.
- 4 Men, 1 Truck and required equipment = $ 160 per hour.
III. Packing Services: Packing Services are optional. If we are providing packing services, the customer can purchase the supplies themselves or have us purchase them. Please keep in mind that, if we buy them, the customer will have to reimburse us for supplies and materials (boxes, tape, etc).
Methods of payment
We accept Cash, Debit Cards & all major Credit Cards. We do not accept checks of any type (including cashiers checks or money orders). A 3% fee applies to all card transactions. Our fuel/service charge is due upfront and is used to book your move. Our hourly rate is due at the end of your move before we leave. *Exceptions are applied for long distance moves.
Long Distance Any move outside of the Shelby County limits is considered long distance. Local fuel/service charges and hourly rates do not apply. Please give us a call for a free estimate!
