I represent the PKD Foundation Mid-South Chapter. This is an organization dedicated to discovering treatments and a cure for a genetic disorder known as polycystic kidney disease (PKD).
What distinguishes us from other not for profit health related groups is our newness to the mid-south region. As we focus on public awareness, education, fundraising, and emotional support, we are working hard to achieve recognition within our community.
A good reference for us would be anyone willing to support our local efforts in heightening awareness and raising funds for the research necessary to find treatment and a cure for this deadly disease.
Our hope is that one day we will mention PKD and people will not respond with a "PKD what?"
